The road to the National Tournament starts this afternoon in Las Vegas for the NAU Ice Jacks as they begin play in the West Coast Hockey Conference Tournament. Tune in live at 4:15pm Arizona time as the #6 Ice Jacks take on the Loyola Marymount Lions. Jesse Vineyard and Matt Esaena will give you the play-by-play live on KJACK Radio.

This is it. These are the games that have been circled on the schedule for months. For the last home games of the season, your #8 NAU Ice Jacks take on their in-state rivals, the Arizona State Sun Devils, who are ranked #1 in the ACHA Division 2 West Region. The Ice Jacks look to continue their winning streak and gain their biggest wins of the season in the process. With two big wins to start 2012, the #8 NAU Ice Jacks look to keep the streak alive as they head into the stretch run of their season. This weekend, the #5 Denver Pioneers head into Jay Lively Ice Arena for two big games against the Ice Jacks. The games are Friday and Saturday night at 8:30pm and all the action can be heard live right here on KJACK.

Get your sports fix all this weekend as KJACK brings you Lumberjack women's basketball and the NAU Ice Jacks. Tonight, NAU women's basketball hits the floor against Weber State at 6:35pm. Friday night at 8:30pm, the #8 Ice Jacks look to keep their streak alive in a big matchup versus the #5 Denver Pioneers. The action continues Saturday at 3pm as the NAU women's basketball team faces off with Idaho State. Then stay tuned that night at 8:30pm as the Ice Jacks finish their weekend series against Denver.

So the BCS still exists, whether you like it or not. Even though there are a million ways they could have gone, they chose the way they already chose in the middle of the season. After 149 days, millions of grieving basketball fans can now rejoice. Early Saturday morning, the NBA owners and players agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement, ending the lockout.
