Ice Jacks fall in final game

In the final game of the season for the #10 Ice Jacks, NAU falls in overtime to #8 UNLV 4-3 at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott, Arizona.

The first period of play was slow and conservative for both teams. Each team had thier chances on the power play and on even strength but neither team put one in. The period ended with no score.

Ice Jacks take first game vs. UNLV

The #10 NAU Ice Jacks won the first game of a very important two game series vs. the #8 UNLV Rebels with a 4-3 victory at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott, Arizona.

NAU Women's Basketball loses to Idaho State

The NAU Women's Basketball team fell to 5-19 overall and 3-9 in Big Sky Conference play with a 71-64 loss to the Idaho State Bengals. In the annual "Pink Zone" game for breast cancer awareness, Caty Huntington, 20 points, and Amy Patton, seventeen points, combined for 37 points but as a team shot 5-15 from the free throw line.

NAU trailed by fourteen in the first half but pulled to within four, 32-28, at the half. NAU used a 19-3 run over the final five minutes of the first half to go into the half with momentum.

Spend Valentines Weekend with Sports on KJACK.

KJACK is your home for NAU sports this weekend. Tonight the NAU Women's Basketball team takes on the Idaho State Bengals in a key Big Sky matchup. Game time is 6:30pm right here on KJACK. Then Sunday and Monday, the NAU Ice Jacks return to the ice in Prescott, Arizona for their final series of the season. The Jacks look for redemption against the Rebels of UNLV Sunday and Monday at noon at Tim's Toyota Center. Tickets for the games are just $10 and proceeds benefit NAU Hockey and the rebuilding of Jay Lively Ice Arena. Both games can be heard live right here on KJACK.

Sports on KJACK this weekend!

Be sure to tune in to KJACK this weekend as the 13th ranked Ice Jacks Division three team return home to Jay Lively Ice Arena to face off aginst the 15th ranked Sacramento State Hornets. The games are Friday and Saturday and both start at 8:30. These are the last home games of the semester so come on out and cheer on your Ice Jacks! (or tune in and support us to).
