Album Review: Sparkadia's "The Great Impression"

Written by Kate Schwab
I had never heard of the Austrailan alt band Sparkadia, but upon listening to their newest album, The Great Impression, I have realized that they are brilliant. They’ve been around since 2004 when Alex Burnett created the group. Back then they were called The Spark. Their first big single off of their EP Things Behind the Sun, Morning Light, was a huge hit in Australia. A great alternative group had emerged under the UK label Ark Recordings.

Album Review: Jane's Addictions' "The Great Escape Artist"

Written by Erinn Wagner
Being able to recite the lyrics Jane’s Addiction songs “Mountain Song” and “Been Caught Stealing” without hesitation is expected from someone born in the 1990’s. With the grittiness of Perry Farrell vocals and the raw rhythm of every instrument was something to notice back then. After putting out three albums between the years of 1988 and 2003, Jane’s Addiction has finally released their newest addition The Great Escape Artist.

Album Reveiw: Coldplay's "Mylo Xyloto"

Written by Taylor Miles
After months and months (and more months) of anticipation, Coldplay’s newest album Mylo Xyloto has finally released. Coldplay has been my favorite band for as long as I can remember, so as soon as October 24th came, it was instantly downloading on my iTunes. I am such a huge fan that I’m worried this review is completely biased, but oh well! Mylo Xyloto is an absolute masterpiece.

Album Review: Jeff the Brotherhood’s “We are the Champions”

Written By Cody Schwartz

Jeff the Brotherhood is a band worth supporting. They’re the kind of band that’ll drive out in their dingy old clunker of a van 500 miles to play to seven kids in your grimy basement on a night’s notice. They’d probably make it a party and you could probably pay them in beer.
