Take Cover

Take Cover specializes in non-traditional-styled covers, mostly typical popular songs. At least once each show, host Stacey plays an original that is less well-known than a cover version. Tune in every Tuesday 6 to 7 for Take Cover.

Take Cover for the last time tonight

Barring some kind of miracle (no final exams next week? I wish!) tonight will be KJACK's last Take Cover. I've put together some fun stuff for tonight--
A - The Lollapalooza set I promised from last week
2 - The Mind of a Graduate, a glimpse into the music I was listening to the last time I graduated
d - A half hour of my favorite covers and some final remarks

Tune in at 6, Lumberjacks!

Lollapalooza night tonight

Tonight you can cover your own... self. I'm doing an all-Lollapalooza set, playing tracks from my favorite Lolla artists!

Cover my (Rear)

Jacks--
I'm mixing it up a little tonight, veering off the regular covers rotation. It's MY day, and I'll play what I choose! Hard stuff, nostalgic stuff, tunes you've never heard before, I'm bringing out some faves. I'm working overtime for you guys tonight, no indie pop here!

No Take Cover Tonight

You only learn how lucky you are when you lose something, folks!
Due to an eye injury, I will not be gauging the dials and pushing the buttons at K-JACK tonight. I hope to reschedule your weekly dose of covers for later in the week. In the mean time, boys and girls, wear eye protection!

TAKE COVER - March 8

Join me tonight for Take Cover, when I will be playing some fun & rare covers that take you from instrumental to synth-pop to some industrial versions of songs you know. I'll also be giving away a pizza from Papa John's to help you through midterms week.
Tune in tonight @ six!

The Late Shift

If you tuned in during the regular Take Cover shift tonight, you heard Ke$ha.
I hope you were pulling a "What???!?"
No, I haven't lost my mind-- the fine tech guys at K-JACK were doing some upgrades that kept the music on autopilot (or poo pilot, if you're not Ke$ha's #1 fan fer everrrrrrr, like OMG). To accommodate those smartie guys in keeping K-JACK at it's techie best, Take Cover is on the late shift tonight, from 10-11pm. Join me late night for a fun game of 2 Degrees of Andy Warhol.
Until then, have a margarita and stay tuned to the Untitled Terrible Radio Program.
