Listen Check Update: Week 9

Every Wednesday from 8pm to 11pm, Listen Check brings you a unique brand of role-playing and provides quality Dungeons & Dragons entertainment. From those who are only D&D-curious to veteran gamers, Listen Check has something for everyone.

Once again, I've missed posting for a week or so. But this wrong shall be righted. Here's what you missed two weeks ago, on Listen Check's eighth installment: Dewey, Soren, Rupert, and Spurla descended into the ruins of Churdamz, looking for the fabled bellows deep within it. After solving a puzzle, they made their way to the bellows and brought them out of the furnace in the ruins. On their way out, they encountered a wild-eyed man, who Rupert quickly cast away.

Last week, the gang returned to the Keyhole, fiddled with the bellows, and went out to find various books of interest. Soren bought Spurla a map of the Torga area before Torga's founding, and Rupert set up a meeting with a few scholars of Churdamz lore and glyphism. Then they turned the bellows in and received payment.

On Wednesday, the group went out for a night on the town. With Spurla, Caspian, and Charles, the three went to a bar and had raucous times. This cheery scene came to a quick ending when a surprise Jute raid took Soren prisoner briefly. After some quick action and quicker thinking, the gang regrouped and returned to the Keyhole, where Erasmus taught Soren, Dewey, and Rupert about dealing with the Jute. They then headed to brave the test of morality at the precarious stone outside of town, and what can only be described as utter absurdity happened.

If any of the updates above are confusing, you can catch up on Listen Check's older episodes over at listencheck.org. Don't get left behind!

Just past the halfway mark for the semester, Listen Check is falling into stride nicely, and the characters and players alike are starting to become a part of Torga. This coming week, will the gang's luck turn around? Will the good times continue to roll? Will Gruumsh continue his reign of terror? What else awaits our adventurers around the next corner? Tune in every Wednesday night from 8 to 11 for more of the sort of adventure, suspense, and humor you've come to expect from Listen Check.
