This week, Double Tap: The Zombie Hour discussed the good that could potentially come out of a zombie apocalypse. As mentioned during the show, the post this week comes to you so late because otherwise, it would have been spoilerific. Why, you ask? Well, listeners, in this post you get to do something you have probably been pining, aching to do since the first time you heard your hosts' beautiful voices:
Dote upon your hosts' beautiful faces. That's right: We're finally unveiling our faces and true identities. We hope we don't break your computers with our abundance of hot.
That being said, your hosts will first supply you with a recap of the episode, though, as always, for the most thorough analysis (and in this show, we definitely spoke only of the topic, and we spoke very,
very seriously) you should download our podcast. If you've missed any of our shows, the podcast is also perfect for summertime studying and enjoyment. Again, this week's topic, as given to us by our dear Rochelle, was to analyze the good that could come out of a zombocalypse.
- The return of natural selection. Humans have been the top of the food chain for a little bit too long now. Zombies would be an addition of a formidable predator. What does that mean for us? A society basically filled with smart, fit people.
- The return of the Renaissance Man. Those fit, smart people who will remain alive in a zombocalypse? They got that way because they had to. In a zombocalypse, not only will everyone have to be fit, they'll also have to be able to navigate, fight, cook, hide, strategize, be a medic, and so many other things. In a roundabout sort of way, the zombocalypse could force society to undergo a renaissance period.
- The collaboration of nations. As you see in so many alien movies, the introduction of a completely foreign evil could unite the entire world in fighting against it. Think Ozymandias' mindset in Watchmen. If you don't know what this means, your hosts basically disown you.*
With our recap finished, you, listeners, are probably aching to see your hosts' beautiful faces. Let's be frank--we don't blame you. We're gorgeous. And really, you've probably scrolled down to this section immediately anyway. We're done stalling.

Ellis
Ashley "Wil" Williams
Secondary English Education major
Wil is a Freshman at NAU, as are all of the other hosts of Double Tap. She is from Gilbert, AZ, aka "Failington." This is the end of her second semester working at KJACK Radio. This semester, she was the manager of web content, and next semester, she will have the honor of being Assistant Station Manager. Next semester, she will continue being a host on Double Tap, as well as having a two hour DJ shift, taking over Hearplay, being on an on-air DnD campaign called Listen Check (more details soon), as well as taking 19 credits. Needless to say, Wil does not understand time management.

Louis
Jason Orchant
English major
Jason hails from Albuquerque, NM, where he is involved in far too many DnD campaigns (not to mention the ones he has here in Flagstaff). Upon counting how many different DnD/RPG books he has on his computer, the number was too absurd to post here. Let's just say that you, listeners, have never known quite how true the title "Double Tap: The Nerd Hour" really was. Next semester will be his first working here at KJACK Radio.

Coach
Matthew Hughes
Math Education Major
Matt is from Davis, CA. He is involved in NAU's choral department and has basically the most gorgeous saxophone in existence. Matt spends his time watching movies and generally being silly and fun. This is Matt's first semester at KJACK, and he works in the music department.

Bill
Rachel Myers
History Major
Rachel is from Mesa, AZ. She is roommates with Wil. Rachel spends most of her time knowing everything that has ever happened in history, making facial hair out of frosting, and watching scary movies and then very quickly regretting it. She will be taking over Hearplay along with Wil next semester, as well as taking so many credits she could not possibly be in KJACK. Also, Bill being ruler of everything is not part of the persona. This is a very true fact about Rachel herself.
And, of course, we leave you with our weekly zombie rule. Don't forget to check out our Facebook page and our Facebook group, especially to make sure you're updated with Double Tap's summer projects, and remember to stay silent, stay safe, stay armed, and stay alive.
Rule #12: Keep your radio handy.
Survivors will almost certainly be using ham radio frequencies to coordinate and communicate with one another. Keep your radio handy to keep in touch with the humans around you, and don’t forget to keep it tuned to KJACK to hear more of Double Tap next semester.
*Not really. We still love you, we swear. No, wait, come back! NO! BABE! BABE! BABE! BABE WAIT BABE NO!
