This week, Double Tap: The Zombie Hour officially retires to bring you the new best show on KJACK 1680 AM: Double Tap: The Philosophy Hour. Join us at 8:00PM on this Friday, April the First, for a profound, in-depth discussion of philosophy as applied to the inevitable zombie apocalypse. Your insightful hosts Ellis, PhD; Sir Louis III; Stagecoach; and Bill Comma Esquire bring you their well-educated, knowledgeable analysis in the vast world of philosophy.
While Double Tap: The Zombie Hour may have been successful in its time, your hosts feel it is simply time to move on to better, more profound ideas. The Zombie Hour also may have brought you some interesting tips on surviving the inevitable zombie apocalypse, but your hosts truly believe that The Philosophy Hour will bring you the most important survival tip: Art for the sake of art.
This week, your hosts will discuss Sir Andy Keith's topic of a philosophical analysis of Francis, the star of A Clockwork Orange and later on, Left 4 Dead: The Modern Prometheus. Your hosts bring you a sliding scale comparing the emotional responses of Francis to famous actors, and, of course, your hosts will only present analogies to the most high-quality modern cinema. Your hosts will also compare Francis to other modern philosophers and artists.
Double Tap: The Philosophy Hour would also like to take this opportunity to officially announce its rivalry with KJACK's morning show, Morning Wood. The events leading up to this rivalry can be seen on Double Tap's various Facebook pages, which can be found when searching Double Tap: The Zombie Hour on Facebook (these page and group names will be changed accordingly soon). Morning Wood, we have only one thing to say to you, in the great words of John Locke:
Frankly, Morning Wood, we don't give a damn
If you die in a chemical fire.
We hope to see you all this Friday for a night of ingenuity, brilliance, and the highest-brow commentary on any radio station you will ever hear.
