Every winter since 2003, gamers and generally nice people from around the world have raised money for children’s hospitals in several nations. Games, toys, books and cash have been donated to the tune of five million dollars over the last five years. This year, KJACK is getting in the act with our own contribution to the effort. While we encourage everyone to donate if you can, we understand if you might want a little something for your effort. In order to entice you into giving up some of your hard earned cash, we have come up with this idea: a bake sale.
How It Works
You read that right, and no, it isn’t a euphemism. We really do mean that we will be giving you baked goods for your donations. In this post, and every other post that will be made here, you will find a selection, a menu if you will, of several options and the suggested donation we are asking. When you place your donation through PayPal, all you have to do is add what you want to order and your mailing address in the area labeled "Add special instructions to seller." If you forget, that’s OK! We'll be checking each donation, and if we see some information missing, we'll drop you an email and verify your information, making sure everything is in order. In the first week of December we'll be baking up a storm and sending out your orders. At the bottom of this page and every entry that will be posted is a button that will link you to a PayPal donation site.
Everything that we're offering is hand made from scratch using recipes from our own families. Don’t worry, we're clean as can be.
How Much Goes To The Charity?
Aside from the postage cost, everything goes towards Child's Play. Baking materials and time are all being donated, which means more of your money goes towards the charity. There’s no organizational fees, no upkeep, no payments to be made out, just the cost of shipping.
