4/14 HearPlay: A Note from Ben

Dear HearPlay listeners:

Folks, if you have listened to HearPlay before, you know the normal format.

Stories.

Songs.

Ben and John.

It's a decent show, I'll admit, despite our constant cries of "it's the worst!" John and I give a lot of ourselves on these shows. It's trying, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. In the past, it's been sort of "let's go on-air and tell the stories that strike us." Lately, some more form has come to it; the episode where all the hosts told the stories of their respective first kisses, the shows where we've told stories that all followed themes.

Tonight, there's going to be something a little different.

John and I will be telling the stories that define what we believe about relationships, those mysterious mechanisms which define humanity. This show will expose us as individuals more than ever, and the stories will tell a story in their combination. The hour and a half that is HearPlay may actually be enlightening.

If ever there were a time to listen, to get your friends to listen, to treat HearPlay like a legitimate radio show, it's tonight.

Tune in for a HearPlay that I promise won't disappoint.
