Dubstep After Dark: After-School Special

Are you ready for an awesome semester? That's alright, neither are we!

Despite the end of a lovely winter break, I think we can all agree that we're pretty stoked that school is starting again. And by school, I mean Dubstep After Dark.
That's right, my beleaguered colleagues, we're getting this semester started right with a whole wicked variety of dubstep.

Join me at 11 p.m. for a special EXTENDED 2-hour show on kjack.org to start this year off right!
Edit: Evening's playlist now added!

Album Review: Sparkadia's "The Great Impression"

Written by Kate Schwab
I had never heard of the Austrailan alt band Sparkadia, but upon listening to their newest album, The Great Impression, I have realized that they are brilliant. They’ve been around since 2004 when Alex Burnett created the group. Back then they were called The Spark. Their first big single off of their EP Things Behind the Sun, Morning Light, was a huge hit in Australia. A great alternative group had emerged under the UK label Ark Recordings.

Dubstep After Dark: Study Hour Power!

Yup, it's that time of year again where we all metaphorically put a "hand"gun to our heads and hope for St. Peter to whisk us away to anywhere but school.
Of course this is a bit of an exaggeration. Regardless, we still loathe the dreadful finals week. As a booknerd myself, I hope to encourage you all jump right into to study hour from 11pm to 12am during Dubstep After Dark!

Your Mother Should Know; Requests!

Hey All You Cats and Kittens,

This week is the last broadcast of Your Mother Should Know, at least for this semester, so I'm taking any and all requests! Anything 60's and 70's I'll play for you if I can find it. Just send me a reply to this post before Thurs at 4pm with the song and what band plays it and I'll try to play it for you. Once in a life time opportunity this is so don't miss out! Heck I'll even play disco for you! I would prefer if you didn't request disco, but all bets are off now! Tune in to the last show of Your Mother Should Know this Friday the 9th from 3pm and 5pm and don't forget to send me your requests!
