GAME ALERT: #8 NAU Ice Jacks vs. #1 Arizona State

This is it. These are the games that have been circled on the schedule for months. For the last home games of the season, your #8 NAU Ice Jacks take on their in-state rivals, the Arizona State Sun Devils, who are ranked #1 in the ACHA Division 2 West Region. The Ice Jacks look to continue their winning streak and gain their biggest wins of the season in the process. GAME ALERT: #8 NAU Ice Jacks vs. #5 Denver

With two big wins to start 2012, the #8 NAU Ice Jacks look to keep the streak alive as they head into the stretch run of their season. This weekend, the #5 Denver Pioneers head into Jay Lively Ice Arena for two big games against the Ice Jacks. The games are Friday and Saturday night at 8:30pm and all the action can be heard live right here on KJACK.

Sports all weekend on KJACK

Get your sports fix all this weekend as KJACK brings you Lumberjack women's basketball and the NAU Ice Jacks. Tonight, NAU women's basketball hits the floor against Weber State at 6:35pm. Friday night at 8:30pm, the #8 Ice Jacks look to keep their streak alive in a big matchup versus the #5 Denver Pioneers. The action continues Saturday at 3pm as the NAU women's basketball team faces off with Idaho State. Then stay tuned that night at 8:30pm as the Ice Jacks finish their weekend series against Denver.

After opening the 2nd half with a 12-0 victory over BYU, the Ice Jacks will face a tougher opponent, this time against the #9 Spartans from San Jose State. Tune in live to KJACK Radio tonight at 8:30pm to hear all the live action.

With winter break coming to a close, the Ice Jacks season opens up again as they return to Jay Lively Ice Arena for a three weekend homestand. The second half of the season begins Friday night at 8:30pm as the Ice Jacks play host to the BYU Cougars. Coachella 2012 Line-Up Release

It's official: Coachella has released their artist lineup for their springtime festival.

GAME ALERT: NAU Women's Basketball vs. Nebraska

This afternoon, the NAU Lumberjacks Women's Basketball team will hit the floor in a big non-conference match-up as they host the Nebraska Cornhuskers; a rising squad from the Big Ten Conference. Tune in at 1:30pm as KJACK Radio will have all the live action.

Album Review: Sparkadia's "The Great Impression"

I had never heard of the Austrailan alt band Sparkadia, but upon listening to their newest album, The Great Impression, I have realized that they are brilliant. They’ve been around since 2004 when Alex Burnett created the group. Back then they were called The Spark. Their first big single off of their EP Things Behind the Sun, Morning Light, was a huge hit in Australia. A great alternative group had emerged under the UK label Ark Recordings.
